‘Do Not Wish Good Things For Me’: Elon Musk Explains Why He Thinks The Biden Admin Could Be Out To Get Him

Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of X — formerly Twitter — discussed why he thinks President Joe Biden’s administration may be hounding him in a podcast on Tuesday.

Musk implied the Biden administration or at least “aspects” of it may be pursuing him with prosecutions for political reasons on the All-In Podcast. The billionaire also acknowledged that prosecutions against him likely have ramped up to an extent since he purchased X and made it a freer platform.

“Elon, does the Biden administration have it out for you, and why?” All-In host entrepreneur David Sacks asked Musk.

“Ha. What ever gave you that idea?” Musk joked, receiving laughter from the hosts and live audience.

“I don’t think the whole administration has it out for me,” he added. “But I think there’s probably aspects of the administration … or aspects of interests aligned with President Biden who probably do not wish good things for me.”

Musk said he was unsure of exactly why the administration is going after him but discussed the alleged trend of political persecution.

“I don’t know really what their issue is,” Musk stated. “But there does seem to be some significant increase in the weaponization of government and really sort of misuse of prosecutorial discretion in many areas … I think this is really a dangerous thing for there to be partisan politics with government agencies.” (RELATED: Biden Admin Looking For Legal Loophole To Perform National Security Review On Elon Musk)

The Department of Justice (DOJ) and Securities and Exchange Commission are investigating Musk’s electric car company Tesla’s allocation of funds towards a secret project that has been rumored to be a house for Musk, The Wall Street Journal reported in August. Musk denied he is building any house in a post on X.

Musk’s SpaceX is also under investigation by the DOJ for alleged discrimination over its hiring policies, according to an August filing.

The perception of investigations being political may result in fewer votes for Democrats, Musk added.

“I think from a Democratic party standpoint or a Biden administration standpoint … the danger here is if there’s significant misuse of prosecutorial discretion … If you’re pursuing what appear to independent voters to be trivial cases while ignoring serious crimes, it’s hard to imagine that’s gonna win over thoughtful independent voters,” Musk said.

“Did things change after you bought Twitter/X?” Sacks asked.

“Yeah, I think they did change somewhat,” Musk answered.

Musk explained that X was a “far-left leaning” company when he took over and he has attempted to “move it to the middle.”

X, Tesla, SpaceX and the White House did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
